Gecko Wings with Blue Cheese Sauce

24 chicken wings

1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

1/2 Tsp. onion powder

1/2 Tsp. garlic powder

1/2 Tsp. ground thyme

1/2 Tsp. ground oregano

1 Tsp. salt

1/2 cup Gecko Gary's Roasted Red Pepper Hot Sauce™

Vegetable oil, for frying

Thaw wings completely. Cut the tips off the wings and discard. Cut remaining chicken wings in half at the joint (if necessary).

Heat 2 inches of oil in a skillet until a sprinkle of flour bubbles in the oil. Being very careful of hot oil splatter, deep fry wings for about 12 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Meanwhile, warm on medium heat the butter, hot sauce and all of the spices.  Simmer for a couple of minutes to let the flavors blend.

In a bowl mix the wings and the butter hot sauce and serve with the cheese sauce on the side.

OPTIONAL: You can bake the thawed wings in the oven on a parchment paper lined tray at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
