Fiery Baked Beans

1 pound dried navy beans

1 portion of salt pork (available at gourmet stores)

2 bay leaves

1 cup ketchup

1/2 cup molasses

2 Tbs. brown sugar

1 tsp. dry mustard powder

1 tsp. chile powder

1 tsp. onion powder

1 tsp. garlic powder

6 oz. sliced bacon

3 Tbs. Gecko Gary's Original Roastin Red Pepper Sauce

Rinse the beans very well. Add beans to a bowl and cover with water by 2 inches.  Soak overnight.  Drain and rinse the beans.  Add the beans to a sauce pan and add enough fresh water to just cover the beans.  Add all of the ingredients except the bacon.  Bring to a simmer and stir occasionally for 25 minutes.  The beans should be tender.  Do not allow the beans to break apart.  Add the beans and liquid to a oven safe glass dish.  Lay the bacon strips on top of the beans and bake in a 325 degree oven for 1 hour.
